Flash Troubleshooting

A few of the most common reasons on why you might be experiencing issues with your Flash Player

1. Low Memory
2. Slow Processor
3. Browser Version
4. Flash Version
5. Internet Cookies
6. Flash Cookies
7. Amount of Tour Assets (pictures and tour details)
8. Anti-Virus

Other issues reasons could include:

1. ISP (Internet Service Provider)
   • Bandwidth (Download Speed)
2. Office firewall
3. Amount of Users on their network accessing internet
   • ex. Streaming Audio, or Video from sites such as Pandora, Hulu, or Youtube

Things we can help troubleshoot are:

1. Bandwith Test
   • CNET Speedtest
   • If bandwidth tests are low then you may need to choose a different plan from your ISP to increase bandwidth
     or check to see if there is an issue with your router that might be causing slow speeds.
2. Delete Flash & Internet Cookies

3. Close down all opened browsers and open a new browser window.
   • If multiple windows or tabs are opened in a window the memory on
     a persons computer will be low enough to cause a tour to not load properly.
4. Update your browser:

5. Uninstall and update your Adobe Flash Player
   • Adobe
   • Before installing the new Flash Player, first uninstall your old version of
     Flash Player to ensure that you are starting fresh with your Adobe Flash Player
6. Temporarily disable Anti-Virus Software.
   • Many Anti-Virus software's include a type of Web Guard that tries to
     analyze all traffic coming in and attempts to scan to see if any traffic is fraudulent.
     Since Obeo has multiple services that load in tour details and photos, the Anti-Virus
     will cause the tour to load slowly by trying to analyze the traffic.
   • Add the following sites to your Anti-Virus Web Gaurd or a List of Approved Sites
     in your Anti-Virus software to allow all traffic to come through without being scanned.
